Strong Performance at the ADAC Cycling Tour in Heilbronn

Our employee David Ries from the design department took part in the ADAC Cycling Tour as part of the Lidl Deutschland Tour in Heilbronn on August 23, 2026, achieving his best result to date since beginning his road cycling career!
The demanding course covered 118 kilometers and approximately 1,600 meters of elevation gain. David Ries completed the route in 3:03:51 hours and achieved an average speed of 38.6 km/h.

- Overall placement: 11th out of 1,110 participants
- Age group: 7th place
The field was significantly stretched out on the very first climb. Mr. Ries was able to hold his position in a strong chase group and took on a large share of the pace-setting and lead work as the race progressed.
In the final kilometers, the race intensified once again. He successfully responded to several attacks, so that the decision ultimately came down to the final sprint.
Just before the 200-meter mark, the decisive sprint began, in which Mr. Ries reached a peak power output of approximately 1,200 watts and was able to prevail against his direct competitors.
With 11th place overall and 7th place in his age group, he not only achieved his best result to date, but also—according to his performance data—his strongest physical performance in a cycling race to date.
