37 Years of Commitment and Loyalty: Hermann Schmedding Enters Well-Deserved Retirement

After more than 37 years of service, Hermann Schmedding, long-standing head of the commercial administration of our company, retired as of September 1, 2026. On September 14, he was officially bid farewell by the management.
Hermann Schmedding joined our company on January 1, 1989, as a financial accountant. In the following years, he took on increasing responsibility:
In 1997, he became head of finance and accounting. In October 2000, he was granted individual power of attorney. Since 2021, he was solely responsible for the commercial administration, including the human resources department.
Over more than three and a half decades, Hermann Schmedding significantly accompanied and shaped the development of our company. With his professional expertise as well as his calm and reliable manner, he was a valued contact person for the management and the workforce over many years.
With his entry into retirement, Hermann Schmedding has handed over the management of the commercial administration to Jochen Sproll, thus placing an important area of responsibility into new hands.
However, he remains connected to our company: as part of a part-time role, he will continue to support the management in an advisory capacity and contribute his many years of experience to the company.
During the farewell ceremony, the management thanked Hermann Schmedding for his many years of service, his great loyalty to the company, and the trustful cooperation. For the new chapter of his life, they wished him all the best, health, and many fulfilling years.
The ceremonial recognition of his many years of service will take place as part of the traditional anniversary celebration at the end of the year.
