Wertheim. – The Wertheim Volunteer Fire Department is delighted to receive a generous in-kind donation from WILHELM KÖNIG MTM GmbH. The Wertheim-based mechanical engineering company has presented the fire department with a state-of-the-art thermal imaging camera, which will play a crucial role in future rescue operations and firefighting efforts.
The new thermal imaging camera allows emergency crews to quickly locate individuals and precisely identify fire sources, even in dense smoke and poor visibility.
This donation is a significant step forward for our department and will help us fulfill our duties even more effectively,” explains Jochen Kirchner, Department Commander of the Wertheim Fire Department.
For nearly 80 years, WILHELM KÖNIG MTM GmbH has been manufacturing oil hydraulic components and, as a world market leader, hydraulic, mechanical, and hydro-mechanical custom clamping devices. Under the proprietary brand KÖNIGDORN®, the company supplies industries such as mechanical engineering, aerospace, and medical technology with a clear promise: to create tailor-made solutions for the highest levels of precision and quality.
We are proud to be able to contribute to the safety of our city,” says Horst König, Managing Director of WILHELM KÖNIG MTM GmbH. “The Volunteer Fire Department provides an invaluable service, and we want to support them in the best possible way,” adds Christoph Baumann, also Managing Director of the company.

This further underlines WILHELM KÖNIG MTM GmbH’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to the region.
The donation of the thermal imaging camera is therefore not only a gain for the Wertheim Fire Department, City Division, but also an investment in the safety of the entire population.
